I was introduced to Heather Jinmaku several years ago. This song, “Blessed Be”, brings me peace. I hope it will do the same for you.

I like this one. I thought that it would be a wonderful way to start thinking about living our principles. Blessing the world is an important step.

In this day and age it is important to educate ourselves and our children about sex and sexuality no matter their age.
“A parent may consider their live-away college freshman a newly minted adult, but, biologically, teens remain in adolescence until about age 25. While their brains are still developing, they are more likely to take risks, use poor impulse control, and be self-conscious. These are all risk factors for unhealthy sexual decisions.”

This app provides you with the principles alway ready at your finger tips as well as links to more in depth writings about the principles. It also includes readings for services. But my favorite part is the chalice. You can actually sit down with your phone, light a chalice, and take five minutes to meditate or pray. In our busy world, taking time out is a gift.
Remember that taking care of you and your soul is an important part of taking care of the world.

Every. Single. One. It’s a strategy that centers everyday Black people as leaders, not just the respectable, educated ones.

This video is fan made, but has the lyrics. It is a beautiful song that talks about having a purpose and being a better person, which is part of the plan for us as Unitarian Universalists.
