Classes and worship are replaced by Spiritual Outings on the first Sunday of each month during the summer, with brief worship, a potluck picnic, and outdoor activities. The schedule is in the sidebar.
Children are welcome. There is childcare and an activity for young children during the service.

Religious Education
For the next few months, we will be discussing the 2017-18 UUA Common Read, Centering: Navigating Race, Authenticity, and Power in Ministry at 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Sundays, beginning October 14.
The book is available from inSpirit, the UUA Bookstore.
It is also available as an eBook in the Amazon Kindle store and on Google Play.
Everyone is welcome to join the discussion, whether you have read the book or not.
We will be using the discussion guide, broken down into shorter sessions, which is available here: https://www.uuabookstore.org/Assets/PDFs/centering_discguide.pdf
On the other Sundays, we will have topical discussions, and people are also free to bring their own current concerns to discuss.
Meeting for Business
We will meet for business at the beginning of our Spiritual Outing on the first Sunday of October, at Deegan-Hinkle Lake, to accept new members, followed by a book signing. If you are considering membership and have not yet let us know, please email westforkuu@gmail.com
From our Bylaws “Any person age 12 or over who joins in the Purpose and Covenant of this community may become a member after recommendation by the Ministry and Oversight Committee, acceptance by the congregation at a monthly meeting, and signing the Membership Book. All who sign the Membership Book shall become eligible to vote thirty (30) days after they sign. To remain a member, a person participates in the affairs of the community, remains in right relationship, and contributes time, money, or both.”
