You love roses, but you only grow dandelions. If you love roses so much, why not plant them?

Our services are Sundays at 11 a.m. at the Progressive Women’s Association Uptown Event Center, 305 Washington Ave. in downtown Clarksburg, behind the Courthouse. There are classes for children and adults 10 to 10:45 am, and a coffee gathering before the service. More about us.

We would love to have you come worship with us.

Children are welcome. There is an activity for young children during the service.

The building is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible restroom. You may park on the south side of the building, which is marked reserved for the PWA.

Lent 2018 – Day 2 – Focus

What is Focus?

Here are some of the definitions from Merriam Webster Dictionary

1. a: a center of activity, attraction, or attention 
    b: a point of concentration
2: directed attention : emphasis
3 a: direction
   c: adjustment for distinct vision; also : the area that may be seen distinctly or resolved into a clear image
6: a localized area of disease or the chief site of a generalized disease or infection
What does Focus mean to you?
How can you improve Focus? 
What is your focus in life or in faith? 
For me, Focus is about the ability to concentrate, but also the need to know where I am going, both in life and in my faith. Meditation can be a great way to help with both of those.

Also here’s a picture to focus on. Trace the labyrinth, focus on the center, or use it as a way to start the breathing towards focusing.

All Hallows, All Saint’s, All Souls, Samhain, Dia de los Muertes. The end of the harvest, when the veil grows thin, we remember our dead, and prepare for the dark and rest of winter. Lisa deGruyter will be leading the service.

Please bring objects for our altar to remember our dead if you would like.
